Bano Qudsia also called Bano Aapa, was a Pakistani novelist, playwright and spiritualist. She composed literature in Urdu, making books, dramas and religious stories. Qudsia is best known for her book Raja Gidh. Qudsia also wrote for stage and television at Urdu and Punjabi languages. Her drama Aadhi Baat was known as”a classic”. Bano Qudsia died in Lahore on 4 February 2017.

Bano Qudsia was born on 28 Nov. 1928 in Firozpur, British India, as Russia Chattha.Her father was a Bachelor of Agriculture and her brother Pervaiz Chattah was a painter. She migrated to Lahore with her family following the partition of India and had begun writing short stories while researching at class 5. She graduated from the Kinnaird College at Lahore and then joined the Government College University to do her masters in Urdu literature, which she completed in 1951.

Qudsia married writer Ashfaq Ahmed, whom she’d met at the Government College University. They had three sons Aneeque, Anees and Amber. The couple was believed inseparable in their social lives.

Ashfaq Ahmed is also a great Pakistani Writer and Spiritualist. His claim to fame novel is Zavia. He has also written short stories for tv and radio in the ’80s. His Novels and book are all About the connection of man with Allah.
